Best restaurants in Morrisville
Morrisville is about 35 minutes from Wake Forest on I-540, on the far side of Raleigh between RDU and Research Triangle Park. Most of its independent restaurants run along NC 54, which the signs call Chapel Hill Road: G.58 Cuisine and its tableside Peking duck at the west end, Neomonde and its house-baked pita a mile east, and a strip of Peruvian, Indian and Mexican kitchens at Park Place. The chains cluster at Park West Village and along Airport Boulevard, and we left them out.
Almost none of this gets written up. INDY Week's 2025 Wake County awards named only two businesses with a Morrisville address, Mi Cancun and Woody's Sports Tavern, and the Raleigh outlets skipped the town in their 2025 and 2026 new-restaurant roundups. So this list leans on the restaurants' own sites, Cary Magazine's Morrisville dining guide and the Town's small-business directory. Use it as a working map for a client dinner by the airport hotels or a lunch counter on an RTP workday.
How we chose
Every entry sits inside the Town of Morrisville and showed a dated sign of being open as of September 2026. Facts come from each restaurant's own site, with Cary Magazine's guide and the Town's business directory as backups, and awards are cited only when named and dated. The site has separate Morrisville lists for Indian food, pizza and coffee, so only two Indian restaurants appear here and no pizzeria.
We excluded chains, buffets and places that have closed: Sister Liu's Kitchen is gone, Full Moon Oyster Bar's site says its Morrisville location is relocating, and Red, Hot & Blue has been sold. Entries are listed alphabetically, not ranked. Hours and prices were last checked in September 2026; call ahead for anything an entry says is unconfirmed.
Alpaca Peruvian Charcoal Chicken
Rotisserie chicken cooked in wood-fired ovens imported from Peru is the whole point at Alpaca's Park Place counter on Chapel Hill Road, a few storefronts from Swagat, per Cary Magazine's guide. A quarter dark-meat chicken combo with two sides and dipping sauces is $10.25, a half is $15.75 and a whole is $29.39. Lomo saltado over fries is $15.75 and yuca fries start at $5.25. Alpaca is a small North Carolina chain with several locations, and the Morrisville one's opening year could not be confirmed.
Why we chose them
- Weekday specials include Pollo Saltado on Mondays and Taco Tuesdays, per Cary Magazine.
- Open daily 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., counter service, per its own site.
- A loyalty app, delivery and catering are all available, per its site.
- Arroz chaufa, Peruvian fried rice, is on the menu.
- Its location page was last updated February 2025, so a June 2026 roundup is the freshest signal it is open.

Babymoon Cafe
Off Aviation Parkway by the airport, Babymoon Cafe has cooked Italian dinners since 2000, its site says, longer than any other independent sit-down restaurant we checked in town. The menu is red sauce and seafood: spaghetti with homemade meatballs at $25, penne alla vodka with peas and prosciutto at $27, seafood fra diavolo with mussels, shrimp and calamari at $36, and New York-style cheese pizza from $15. Tiramisu and cannoli are the desserts. There is a garden patio and a full bar with a wine list, and the restaurant takes reservations through its website.
Why we chose them
- Founded in 2000, per its own site, and still in the same spot off Aviation Parkway 26 years later.
- Closed Sundays; Saturday service starts at noon.
- Cary Magazine wrote it up as far back as March 2011.
- Grilled salmon with herb risotto is $33 and lobster ravioli with shrimp and saffron cream is $36.
- A January 2026 diner complained about wine pricing and a shrinking menu, so check the current menu before a big night.

Carmen's Cuban Cafe & Lounge
Cuban sandwiches and salsa nights share a building on Factory Shops Road, off NC 54 near the Airport Boulevard interchange. The El Cubano is $14.95, ropa vieja $19.95, lechón asado with garlic-onion mojo $18.95 and homemade flan $6.50. On second and fourth Fridays the dining room becomes a dance floor, with a Rueda Casino lesson at 9 p.m. and music until 2 a.m. Its site claims 20 years of Cuban cooking but gives no opening year.
Why we chose them

Szechuan on one side of the menu and Thai on the other, plus crispy sesame chicken for the American-Chinese crowd, is the deal at this family-owned kitchen in Morrisville Square. G.58 Cuisine
The one white-tablecloth Chinese room in town sits at the west end of Chapel Hill Road near the RTP line. G.58 cooks from what its site calls the eight great culinary regions of China, but the draw is Peking duck carved at the table and served with handmade pancakes and house sauces. Chilean sea bass in brandy sauce and Kung Pao sea bass are the other named signatures. Two private VIP rooms sit off the dining room, and the patio is lined with koi. Prices are not published; OpenTable's band is $31 to $50.
Why we chose them
- Its own about page says the duck chef has more than 15 years of roasting experience in Beijing.
- Open since 2018, per the restaurant's about page.
- Closed Mondays; OpenTable lists Monday hours, which conflicts, and the restaurant's own site should win.

Neomonde Mediterranean
The Saleh family's Lebanese bakery started in Raleigh in 1977 and has baked its own pita ever since, which is still the reason to walk in. The Morrisville shop, on Chapel Hill Road in the NC 54 corridor, is the counter-service version: hummus, shawarma, kabobs and build-your-own bowls, with vegan and gluten-free choices. A market attached to the dining room sells Mediterranean groceries, and there is a covered patio. Prices were not published in September 2026 because the menu page would not load, and when the Morrisville location opened could not be confirmed.
Why we chose them

- Cary Magazine named it Best Mediterranean in 2013 and 2016 and Best Vegetarian Menu in 2016.

Older roundups give a Chapel Hill Road address, but the restaurant's site and the Town of Morrisville business directory both put it on Morrisville Square Way. Prices are not published and the opening year could not be confirmed.

- Closed Sundays, with a break between 3 and 4:30 p.m. on weekdays.
- Listed in the Town of Morrisville's own small-business directory, which names the contact as Nguyen.

Woody's Sports Tavern & Grill
A sports bar with scratch-made wings, the Grace Park tavern is the Morrisville half of a two-location, locally owned operation whose site calls it "fiercely independent." Wings, burgers and sandwiches make up the menu, with Wednesday trivia and periodic music bingo and karaoke on the calendar. The kitchen runs to 2 a.m. several nights a week, per Cary Magazine, and the volume is what you would expect from a room full of screens.
