Best urgent care in Wake Forest: 9 walk-in clinics close by

Urgent care inside the Town of Wake Forest comes down to four walk-in clinics: Duke Urgent Care Heritage on Rogers Road, WakeMed MyCare 365 on South Main Street, Heritage Urgent & Primary Care on the NC 98 bypass and Med First on Rogers Branch Road. Three belong to a health system or a chain; Heritage is the one independent. No Rolesville clinic turned up, and the lone Youngsville lead did not clear the bar.

So the list widens into north Raleigh, out to about 20 minutes from town. That adds UNC Urgent Care at Wakefield, a second Duke clinic on Harps Mill Road and three WakeMed sites, among them an orthopaedic-only clinic and a children's urgent care run with PM Pediatrics. Published prices are scarce: UNC's $45 sports physical is the only one on any of these pages.

Our read: on a Sunday, start with the health-system clinics, since Heritage lists no Sunday hours and Med First's page shows weekdays only.

How we chose

We started inside Wake Forest, then widened to north Raleigh clinics within about 20 minutes, because no Rolesville or Youngsville clinic cleared the bar. Each pick needed a 2026 signal: a live booking or wait tool plus a 2026 copyright or page date. Facts come from each clinic's own page first; aggregators supplied leads only. Services and credentials appear as the clinics state them, and we did not run medical board lookups.

We cut closed clinics, listings with no website or 2026 signal, appointment-only specialty care and Raleigh clinics too far south. Entries are alphabetical, not ranked, and prices were last checked in November 2026. These picks rest on checkable facts, and we have not hired them. The list stops at nine because that is where verified picks stop.

Duke Urgent Care Harps Mill

Duke Health's second walk-in clinic in north Wake is on Harps Mill Road in north Raleigh, off the Six Forks and Strickland corridor. Duke's page lists on-site lab work and X-rays, stitches for wounds that need them, and treatment for broken bones and sprains. It sees infants, children and adults, and STD and TB testing are on the service list. Patients 6 months and older can also use virtual visits through My Duke Health.

Why we chose them

  • Part of Duke Health, which also runs the Heritage urgent care on Rogers Road in Wake Forest.
  • Duke's location page says the clinic is open seven days.
  • Duke lists NC Medicaid and TRICARE among accepted insurers but does not take UHC Marketplace plans here.
  • Per Duke's page, DOT physicals and drug screens are no longer available at this location.
  • No dated 2026 notice from the clinic itself turned up, so reserve a spot through My Duke Health or call first.

Address: Raleigh — 7021 Harps Mill Rd., Suite 100

Duke Urgent Care Heritage

Inside the Duke Health Heritage building on Rogers Road, this is the Duke urgent care for Wake Forest itself. The location page lists on-site lab work and X-rays, wound dressing for cuts and lacerations, and burn care, for infants, children and adults. Sports physicals and limited employment physicals are available (DOT physicals and drug screens are not). Virtual visits run through My Duke Health for ages 6 months and up.

Why we chose them

  • Part of Duke Health, which also runs the Harps Mill urgent care in north Raleigh.
  • Duke's page says the clinic is open seven days and appointments are not required.
  • Reservations may be required late in the evening, according to Duke Health.
  • Duke publishes a long list of accepted insurers and a financial-assistance policy for uninsured patients.
  • No dated 2026 notice from the clinic itself turned up, so reserve a spot online or call before going.

Address: Wake Forest — 3000 Rogers Rd., Suite 100

Heritage Urgent & Primary Care

An independent clinic on the NC 98 bypass (Dr. Calvin Jones Highway), Heritage pairs walk-in urgent care with primary care. Its own site lists on-site digital X-ray, an on-site lab with many same-day results, and stitches for lacerations and wounds. Children are seen, DOT physicals are available, and telehealth visits are an option. For anyone who wants a local alternative to the big health systems, it is the one independent walk-in clinic in town on this list.

Why we chose them

  • A second office on Strickland Road in north Raleigh makes this a two-office local group, per its site.
  • Its site says it accepts Medicare and is in-network with most major insurers.
  • Self-pay patients pay the full charge, per the clinic's own site.
  • Its own site lists Monday to Saturday with no Sunday hours, while Solv shows different hours.
  • The site footer still reads 2020 though pages were updated in October 2026, so call or book online first.

Address: Wake Forest — 620 Dr. Calvin Jones Hwy., #212

Med First Wake Forest

On Rogers Branch Road, Med First Wake Forest is the in-town branch of a North Carolina primary and urgent care chain. The location page lists on-site lab and X-ray with in-house draws, wound care for minor cuts and sprains, and primary care from infants to the elderly. Occupational medicine gets a full menu here, and telemedicine visits are available. Walk-ins are welcome, and the page says "Most insurance plans and self-pay are accepted."

Why we chose them

  • A regional chain runs it: MedFirst Primary and Urgent Care has over 25 NC clinics, per a recruiting profile.
  • Bluehive lists DOT physicals and drug screens among its occupational-medicine services.
  • Its own page shows weekday hours only, with no Saturday or Sunday visits.
  • Solv still shows an older South Main Street address; the clinic's own site gives Rogers Branch Road.
  • The footer reads 2024 and the page was last updated August 4, 2026, so call or book online first.

Address: Wake Forest — 3604 Rogers Branch Rd., Suite 106

  • A sports physical costs $45, per the UNC Health Rex page.
  • Patients must be checked in 30 minutes before closing, according to the clinic page.

The clinic is in the Physicians Office Pavilion on Falls of Neuse Road.

Why we chose them

  • Part of WakeMed through Wake Orthopaedics, its orthopaedic group.
  • Visits are billed as a specialist office visit, so the co-pay may run higher, per WakeMed.

  • The same page also claims seven days including holidays, which conflicts with its posted hours.
  • No dated 2026 notice from the clinic itself turned up, so check the live wait tool or call first.
