Honest Indian Vegetarian

About

Honest Indian Vegetarian is a vegetarian street-food restaurant on Davis Drive in Morrisville, in the shopping strip near Morrisville-Carpenter Road at the edge of Cary. It is the first American branch of Honest, a chain that started as a street cart in Ahmedabad, India, in 1975.

The menu is Gujarati and Bombay street snacks: pav bhaji with buttered rolls, vada pav, pani puri, chole bhature, dosas and chili paneer. The kitchen makes everything from scratch each day and uses nothing frozen or processed, which is the idea behind the name. A lunch thali gives a quick tour of the menu on one plate.
