Brigs of Wake Forest

About

Brigs of Wake Forest is the local branch of a Triangle breakfast and brunch chain, out on Wake Union Church Road. Around here it goes by Brigs at the Forest, and readers have voted it the best breakfast in town more than once.

The menu is long and built on the idea that breakfast should be available at any hour of the day. Weekday specials keep the cost down, and the dining room is meant to be relaxed and friendly, which is what the founders were after from the start.

What to know

  • The first Brigs opened on Creedmoor Road in Raleigh on October 18, 1988.
  • The name became Brigs Great Beginnings to avoid confusion with a Massachusetts ice cream chain.
  • The company also runs restaurants in Cary, Durham and Raleigh.
  • Several owners started as employees and worked their way up through management.
  • Gift cards and special offers are published for regular customers.
