Blackbird Brewery is a family-owned, brewer-owned craft brewery on Rogers Branch Road in Wake Forest. Harmony and Ian VanGundy started it in 2022, after decades between them in brewing, sales and distribution.

The taproom is spacious, and there is an expansive outdoor patio and beer garden as well. The owners are blunt about what this is: not a venture or an investment or a pet project, but their life. Visitors must be 21 or older. The beers have won awards, and they are brewed in Wake Forest.
