Walter Magazine

About

WALTER is a magazine about the art, culture and people of Raleigh, published from an office on South McDowell Street downtown. It puts out 12 print issues a year and fills the gaps between them with web exclusives, events and newsletters. Subscriptions and advertising are both handled through the magazine directly.

The name comes from Sir Walter Raleigh, the man the City of Oaks claims as its namesake. Editor Liza Roberts and art director Jesma Reynolds founded the magazine in 2012, and it has kept its eye on the city ever since.
