InterAct
About
InterAct opened its doors in 1978 as the Family Violence Prevention Center, working to end domestic violence and sexual assault in Wake County. It has kept at that work for close to fifty years, covering Raleigh and the rest of the county.
The organization works to save lives, rebuild lives and secure safer futures, and the message it repeats to survivors is that they are not alone. Its longtime home on Oberlin Road is called the Family Safety and Empowerment Center, and that is where appointments and walk-in visits take place.
