Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary

About
Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary occupies the old Wake Forest College campus on South Wingate Street, which is why downtown Wake Forest has a seminary at its edge. It was established in 1950 with support from the Southern Baptist Convention’s Cooperative Program.
It is a graduate school for men and women preparing to serve churches, and its stated mission is to glorify Jesus Christ by equipping students for the Great Commission. Programs cover preaching, apologetics, missions, church planting, counseling and student ministry, and enrollment now passes 5,000.
