Biscuit Belly and a consignment shop get Wake Forest permits
Biscuit Belly now has a building permit for its Wake Forest restaurant at 3601 Rogers Branch Road, Suite 101. The permit appears in the September 2026 section of the Town of Wake Forest’s new-business list, which has 12 entries for the month, including a consignment shop on South White Street downtown and a grocery on Hampton Way Drive.
The town describes the list as businesses that “have been issued a building permit to operate in Wake Forest in the month indicated.” Each entry is a name and an address. The list gives no opening dates.
Biscuit Belly’s Rogers Branch Road restaurant
The permit is the next step after the company posted its Wake Forest address on Rogers Branch Road. As of October 7, 2026, the Wake Forest page on Biscuit Belly’s website still reads “Coming soon to your area.” It lists the Suite 101 address and no hours, phone number or opening date, according to the company’s website. The page sends job seekers to the company’s careers page.
Biscuit Belly’s locations page lists three open restaurants in North Carolina, and each one runs from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to the company’s website:
- The closest is Biscuit Belly at Seaboard Station, at 708 Seaboard Station Drive in Raleigh.
- The Charlotte restaurant is at 1949 E. 7th Street, Suite 2, in the Elizabeth neighborhood.
- The Fayetteville restaurant is at 145 Glensford Drive.
Chad and Lauren Coulter founded Biscuit Belly in Louisville, Kentucky, in 2019, according to Nation’s Restaurant News. The trade publication reported on July 20, 2026, that the chain had agreed to buy 34 Maple Street Biscuit Company locations from Cracker Barrel. Biscuit Belly had 15 restaurants before that deal and is aiming for more than 60 by the end of 2028, the report said. “We set a 10-year goal to become the largest gourmet biscuit brand in the US,” Lauren Coulter told the publication.
The town’s August 2026 list included two permits next door at 3605 Rogers Branch Road. Anstead’s Cigar Barn is listed at Suite 106, and Barre3 Fitness is listed at Suite 104.
Two businesses on the same stretch are already open. Vira Bistro, a European bistro, opened October 1, 2026, at 3604 Rogers Branch Road, Suite 101. Blackbird Brewery is at 3608 Rogers Branch Road, Suite 101.
A downtown consignment shop and a Hampton Way grocery

The grocery entry is listed as “Hampton Way Grocery Story” at 12223 Hampton Way Dr., Suite 400. The town’s list does not name an operator or a brand.
