Best plumbers in Wake Forest: nine picks with license numbers

Wake Forest has plenty of plumbers. Most of the license holders with a local address, though, are small outfits with no website, no dated post and often no BBB rating, which makes them hard to check from the outside. Only two picks here have a Wake Forest address: Wake Forest Plumbing Company, Inc. and New Light Electrical & Plumbing. The list had to widen to Youngsville and to north and northeast Raleigh, and every company from those towns names Wake Forest in its own service area.

Treat it as a call list. Each entry gives a license number and where it came from, plus what the company says about guarantees and pricing. Lester's Plumbing Service, Inc. in Youngsville has been at it since 1982, longer than anyone else here. Plumb Smart Plumbing posts its prices; in-person assessments start at $175.

How we chose

We have not hired these plumbers, and their work cannot be judged from outside. So the picks rest on checkable facts: license number and class from the company or BBB, years in business, BBB rating, service area, and stated warranties and pricing. The state plumbing board's lookup could not be opened, so each license number comes from the source named in the entry. Each is BBB A or A+ or unrated, and each was open as of October 2026.

Two are based in Wake Forest; three are in Youngsville and four in Raleigh, included because each names Wake Forest. Firms with no site or 2026 signal were left out. Entries are listed alphabetically, not ranked. Hours and prices were checked in October 2026; call about anything marked unconfirmed.

Adkins Plumbing & Backflow

The youngest company here, Adkins started in May 2024 and works out of northeast Raleigh along the Forestville Road corridor toward Rolesville. Its BBB address is a private mailbox, not a shop, so there is nowhere to stop by; it serves the area. No company website turned up. Backflow work is in the name, though BBB gives no service list. BBB lists Larry Adkins as president.

Why we chose them

• License L.36553 per BBB, from the NC plumbing board, expiring December 31, 2026.
• BBB granted accreditation on May 21, 2026, and rates the company A.
• The only deduction BBB states against that rating is the short time in business.
• With no website and a 2024 start, the public record is thin, so ask for references before booking.

Benjamin Franklin Plumbing of Raleigh

Benjamin Franklin Plumbing is a national franchise brand, and this north Raleigh location on Wellington Court is independently owned; BBB lists Adam Rosenzweig as a member. A May 2026 blog post covers common Wake Forest plumbing problems, and the site names Heritage, Wakefield, Traditions, Caveness Farms, Holding Village and Stonewater among the neighborhoods it works in.

Why we chose them

• Its on-time guarantee pays $5.00 for each minute the plumber is late, up to 60 minutes, per its site.
• License L.29147 per BBB, expiring December 31, 2026; the company's own site shows License 29147.

CK's Plumbing & Backflow

The farthest base on the list sits on Greywood Drive in northeast Raleigh, about 15 to 20 minutes from Wake Forest. Even so, CK's keeps a dedicated Wake Forest service page on its site. Backflow testing is the specialty, next to general plumbing work. The site also carries a 24/7 emergency banner, a financing page and an estimate request form.

Why we chose them

• Its own site shows "NC License # 28692," which the state board recorded as a Plumbing Class I contractor license.
• BBB lists it as A+ and accredited in its October 2026 category listing.
• The site says "trusted since 2010," while BBB gives 2006, and the conflict was not resolved.
• Weekend work is by appointment, with emergency service handled separately.

• Its own site claims Best of Bob plumber awards for 2013 to 2017 and for 2019 and 2020.
• Nights, weekends and holidays are "As needed or warranty related," per the site, so this is not a 24-hour shop.
• No dated 2026 post from the company itself turned up, and its site's newest content is from 2020, so call first.

Johnson II and Tyler Johnson are named on the team. The company blogs often; its newest dated post is from October 6, 2026, so there is little doubt it is open.

New Light Electrical & Plumbing

Formerly Spartan Electric, New Light Services, LLC does business as New Light Electrical & Plumbing from a Wake Forest mailing address west of town; whether that base sits inside town limits could not be confirmed. Plumbing work includes tankless water heater installs, drain clearing with a jetter, camera location of broken drain lines, well pump service and kitchen and bath plumbing. Its own site says service is "100% Guaranteed for 1 Year."

• BBB rates it A+ and has listed it as accredited since February 9, 2018.
• It is the only Wake Forest-address pick that advertises 24-hour emergency service.
• Its site says "over 15 years" on one page and "over 45 years" on another; BBB gives a 1998 start.

Plumb Smart Plumbing

Locally owned and based in Youngsville, Plumb Smart (legally We Plumb Smart LLC) publishes no street address and serves the area. Its site heading says "Since 1999," a date no second source confirms. The work runs from water lines and sewer repair to kitchen and bath remodels and custom new-construction plumbing. The company also runs a trade development program for apprentices, and booking is online.

Why we chose them

• In-person plumbing assessments start at $175, per the company's own site.
• An October 7, 2026 post explains that diagnostic visits carry a fee while estimates for planned projects are free.
• First-time visits get 10% off, and phone estimates are free, per its site.

Wake Forest Plumbing Company, Inc.

One of only two picks with a Wake Forest address, this small independent company works Wake Forest, Raleigh and the surrounding area from a base in town. Its site lists no street and does not say whether that base is an office or a home. BBB gives a start date of 2006 and names Marybeth C. Kabala as president. The company site says it guarantees all of its work, gives free estimates and says its technicians pass background checks.

Why we chose them

• License No. 35972, per the company's BBB record, which copies its numbers from the NC plumbing board.
• BBB rates it A+ and has listed it as accredited since June 20, 2024.
• Posted hours cover weekdays only, and the site states no 24-hour or emergency service.
• The company site carries no dates at all, so its 2026 open signal is the current BBB accreditation.

White's Plumbing & Electrical

Plumbing and electrical sit under one roof at White's, a Youngsville contractor that lists Wake Forest, Youngsville, Raleigh, Louisburg and Durham as service areas. The plumbing side does well pump repair and installation, water filtration and softeners, leak detection, sewer line repair and new construction. The electrical side handles panels, breakers and fixtures. BBB lists Jeremiah Johnson White as owner.

Why we chose them

• License No. 30233, per the BBB record, which takes its numbers from the NC plumbing board.
• BBB gives a start date of 2006, which puts it at about 20 years in business.
• A separate emergency leak line is posted, though the site does not promise 24/7 service.
• BBB has not rated it yet, citing not enough information; that is not a low grade.
• BBB lists a PO box and two other Youngsville locations, so the address here comes from the company's own site.
