Best pizza in Morrisville: nine shops from slices to deep dish

Morrisville sits on the far side of Raleigh, about 35 minutes from Wake Forest by I-540, wedged between RDU and Research Triangle Park. Pizza there is thin on the ground and the picture changed this year: Randy's closed its McCrimmon Corners shop in May 2026, and a coal-fired New York-style newcomer, Bambino's Pizza, now lists the same Davis Drive address.

What remains is a short list of independents and small regional groups. Georgina's has been on Davis Drive since 2006, Babymoon Cafe has been on the airport side of town since 2000, and Vicino's sells a $2.99 cheese slice to the office parks on Airport Boulevard on weekdays. Rosati's is the town's one Chicago deep dish.

Use this as a working list for a lunch in RTP or a stop on the way home from a flight. Two of the nine carry a call-first note, and the entries say why.

How we chose

We counted independent pizzerias and small regional groups inside the Town of Morrisville, open as of September 2026 with a dated signal such as current hours on the business's own site or a 2026 review. Facts come from each business's own site, and awards count only when named and dated. Randy's Pizza at McCrimmon Corners closed in May 2026 and Bambino's Pizza now has that address. ACME Pizza and Amante Gourmet Pizza are closed. Pizza Twist and the national chains were left out.

Randy's Alexander Village carries a Morrisville address whose town-limits status we could not confirm, and it is included with that note. Entries are listed alphabetically, not ranked. Hours and prices were last checked in September 2026; call for anything an entry says is unconfirmed.

Babymoon Cafe

Family-owned since 2000, Babymoon Cafe on Jerusalem Drive near Aviation Parkway is the oldest pizza-serving restaurant in Morrisville and the one closest to the airport. The pizza is New York-style, a $15 cheese pie that builds into whatever you want or $18 specialty versions, and it sits inside a full Italian menu of pastas, seafood, steaks and salads in a smart-casual room with outdoor seating. Tripadvisor's own ranking currently puts it first of 114 Morrisville restaurants.

Why we chose them

  • Specialty pies at $18 include a White with ricotta, garlic, Parmesan and Romano, and a BBQ Chicken with caramelized onions.
  • The dining room is closed on Sundays.
  • Reservations are accepted and parking is free, per Tripadvisor.
  • Its own site describes the pizza as New York-style with fresh daily ingredients.
  • A pet-friendly patio is listed on BringFido, though the restaurant's own site does not say so.

Address: Morrisville — 100 Jerusalem Dr., Ste. 106

Bambino's Pizza

New in 2026 at McCrimmon Corners, Bambino's took over the Davis Drive address that Randy's Pizza left in May. Its own site describes New York-style, hand-tossed pies from a coal-fired oven, charred at the edges and foldable, sold by the slice as well as whole. Named pies include the Drunken Grandma, a deep dish with vodka sauce, plus Hot Honey, Greek and Hawaiian. The shop is at most a few months old and no press has covered it, so call before you drive.

Why we chose them

  • Its own site says the oven is coal-fired, the only one in Morrisville.
  • DoorDash lists a 16 inch Drunken Grandma deep dish at $32.50 and build-your-own pies from $15.60.
  • Doors open at 10 a.m. every day, per the site's posted hours.
  • Ownership and an opening date are not published anywhere we could find.

Address: Morrisville — 4129 Davis Dr., at McCrimmon Corners

Georgina's Pizzeria & Restaurant

Twenty years on Davis Drive make Georgina's the longest-running independent pizzeria in Morrisville, open since 2006 across from Bethany Village and run by a family under a woman Cary Magazine calls "Mama Roe." Thin-crust New York-style and Sicilian pies share the menu with cauliflower and gluten-free crusts, house-made pasta and seafood specials. One caveat: the restaurant's own domain now redirects to a disabled online-ordering page, though Yelp showed activity in August 2026, so call before you go.

Why we chose them

  • Garlic knots are made from the pizzeria's own dough and come with a garlic-Romano sauce.
  • A 16 inch Sicilian with 12 slices lists at $22.95 on a third-party menu mirror; treat it as approximate.
  • Wine Wednesday takes half off bottles and Thirsty Thursday runs craft beer specials, per Cary Magazine.
  • It is closed Mondays and Sunday hours are short, 3 to 8 p.m.
  • Beer and wine only, with a covered patio and no OpenTable reservations.

Address: Morrisville — 3536 Davis Dr.

La Cucina Italiana

The former ACME Pizza space at Grace Park, off Morrisville-Carpenter Road, now holds a family-owned halal Italian restaurant, the only fully halal pizzeria in Morrisville. Its site says the ingredients are 100 percent halal, Zabihah records no alcohol served, and the menu is handcrafted pizzas and pastas; a February 2026 Zabihah reviewer singled out a BBQ pizza and the Alfredo. Prices are not published because the site's menu page is down and its Slice ordering page is inactive, so order direct.

Why we chose them

  • Its own site says the kitchen uses 100 percent halal ingredients.
  • No alcohol is served, per Zabihah.
  • A Zabihah review from October 18, 2025 refers to the new location, so it opened by fall 2025.
  • Delivery runs through third-party apps, per Zabihah.

Address: Morrisville — 2101 Grace Park Dr., at Grace Park

Paolo's on 54

Off NC 54 on Keybridge Drive, between Park West and the Airport Boulevard side of town, Paolo's is a full Italian restaurant with a pizza list at its center. The site says every pie is hand-thrown from the restaurant's own unbleached dough, one of only two Morrisville pizzerias to state in-house dough outright. A cheese pizza is $14 and specialty pies run $16 to $18, and the menu goes on to veal, chicken and seafood dinners, with a speakeasy-style cocktail bar per Visit Raleigh.

Why we chose them

  • Mushrooms & Goat Cheese with thyme is $17 and Prosciutto, Fresh Mozzarella & Pesto is $18.
  • The Molte Carne stacks pepperoni, sausage, bacon, ham and meatballs for $18.
  • Only one pizza size is listed, and the site does not publish the diameter.
  • It is closed Mondays, with lunch specials at reduced prices the rest of the week.

Address: Morrisville — 101 Keybridge Dr., Ste. 500

Randy's Pizza

Randy Smith opened the first Randy's in 1993, and the brand's large New York-style slices are now sold at eight Triangle locations. The Alexander Village shop, in the Food Lion-anchored center at TW Alexander Drive and NC 54 near Brier Creek, is the only Randy's left with a Morrisville address after McCrimmon Corners closed in May 2026. The catch: the parcel carries a Morrisville 27560 address, but a LoopNet listing calls the center Northwest Raleigh, and we could not confirm it sits inside the town limits.

Why we chose them

  • Visit Raleigh's brand listing says the dough is made fresh daily and the ovens are stone brick.
  • Pies run from 14 inches up to 30, per Visit Raleigh.
  • Wednesday is a $14 cheese pizza day, and Friday brings two 14 inch two-topping pizzas for $30.
  • Buy any 18 inch pizza Monday or Tuesday and a 12 inch cheese is $5.
  • Specials cannot be combined, and standard pie prices are not published on the site.

Address: Morrisville — 2121 TW Alexander Dr., at Alexander Village

Rosati's Pizza

Chicago deep dish is the reason to drive to Bethany Village, where Rosati's holds down a suite on Davis Drive at Morrisville-Carpenter Road. The shop is a franchise of the Chicago-area Rosati's chain with a local owner, and Visit Raleigh describes it as the brand's first East Coast location. Five crusts are on the menu: tavern-style thin, double dough, deep dish, stuffed and a 12 inch gluten-free, in sizes from 10 to 18 inches. Dine-in, carryout, delivery and catering are all available.

Why we chose them

  • Deep dish is pan-baked with a buttery crust and cheese under chunky tomato sauce, baked over 40 minutes.
  • A 12 inch Chicago deep dish is $26.99 and a 16 inch is $36.99 on DoorDash.
  • Visit Raleigh's listing says nearly everything, dough included, is made on site.
  • The shop is closed every Monday.
  • Its Monster pie carries sausage, pepperoni, beef, bacon, mushroom, onion, green pepper and black and green olives.

Address: Morrisville — 3605 Davis Dr., Ste. 107, at Bethany Village

Ruckus Pizza, Pasta & Spirits

The late-night option at Park West Village, Ruckus is the Morrisville branch of a small Triangle group that started at NC State in 1999 and now runs five locations. The pizza is hand-tossed American pizzeria style, sold as 10, 14 and 18 inch pies, and it shares the menu with a full bar, sushi rolls, smash burgers and pasta the site calls house-made. On Friday and Saturday the kitchen stays open until 2 a.m., which no other pizzeria in town matches.

Why we chose them

  • A cheese pizza runs $14.50 for a 10 inch, $18.50 for a 14 and $21.99 for an 18.
  • Specialty pies include the Sam I Am with prosciutto, caramelized onion and arugula, and Double Pepperoni and Hot Honey.
  • Gluten-free crust is available for $2 extra.
  • Weekend brunch runs Saturday and Sunday, per ruckuspizza.com.
  • The menu warns that pizzas can take an extra 15 to 20 minutes when the room is busy.

Address: Morrisville — 1101 Market Center Dr., at Park West Village

Vicino's Pizza

A weekday slice shop for the office parks on Airport Boulevard, Vicino's is the only place in Morrisville built around the slice-counter format. A cheese slice is $2.99, the cheapest in town, with toppings at 50 cents each, and whole pies start at $12.49 for a 14 inch cheese. Calzones, stromboli and pasta fill out the menu, and Tripadvisor's listing calls the style New York and the ownership family.

Why we chose them

  • It is closed Saturday and Sunday and shuts at 8 p.m. on weekdays.
  • An 18 inch cheese pizza is $15.99, with toppings $2 each at that size.
  • The Grecian, with roasted red pepper, Kalamata olives and feta, is $18.95 for a 14 inch.
  • The site's copyright reads 2020 and its Tripadvisor listing dates from about then; the opening year is unconfirmed.

Address: Morrisville — 962-A Airport Blvd.

Prices, hours and opening status last checked September 21, 2026. Call ahead where an entry says to.
