Best pediatricians in Wake Forest: 8 practices to know

Six pediatric practices inside Wake Forest have current pages and in-town addresses, spread along Wake Drive, Rogers Road, Capital Boulevard, Siena Drive and Durham Road. The mix runs from Wake Forest Pediatrics, which says it was the town's first pediatric practice, to two Duke Health offices, a WakeMed office and the local branches of two larger groups, JMA Pediatrics and KidzCare Pediatrics.

Widening the search added little. No pediatric practice in Youngsville or Franklinton had a page that could be verified, so the list reaches into north Raleigh for two more: HealthPark Pediatrics and the Falls of Neuse Road office of Phycinity Healthcare. Both are a longer drive, so time the trip before you book.

Our read: families inside town have a real choice between independent and health-system care, and the two Raleigh picks earn a look mainly for weekend sick visits and same-day slots.

How we chose

We started inside Wake Forest, then checked Rolesville, Youngsville and Franklinton before reaching north Raleigh, the nearest area with verifiable practices. Each pick needed a 2026 signal, such as a dated post or current page. Facts come from each practice's own site or health-system page first, and awards appear only when named and dated. Credentials appear as the practices state them; we did not run board certification lookups. We cut practices with no 2026 signal, pages that could not be read, a dead website or too long a drive, and counted multi-office groups once.

The picks rest on checkable facts, and we have not hired any of them. Entries are alphabetical, not ranked; prices and details were last checked in November 2026. The list stops at 8, where verified picks stop.

Duke Primary Care Heritage Pediatrics

Duke Health put this pediatric practice in its Heritage building on Rogers Road, which opened in September 2018 with pediatrics among its services. The Duke location page lists certified lactation consultants with a private space, behavioral health evaluations for ADHD, depression and anxiety, and hearing, vision, lead and developmental screenings done in the clinic. School and sports physicals and immunizations round out the list, and new and returning families book through My Duke Health.

Why we chose them

  • Health-system office: the practice is part of Duke Health.
  • Saturday-morning visits are available by appointment only, per its Duke location page.
  • Duke says sick children can usually be seen the same day, while physicals must be booked ahead.
  • The Duke page says the practice welcomes newborns as new patients.
  • No dated 2026 post from the practice itself turned up, so call before a first visit.

Address: Wake Forest — 3000 Rogers Rd., Suite 210

Growing Child Pediatrics at Wake Forest

Capital Boulevard is where Duke Health runs its second pediatric office in town, a separately named practice at its own address, apart from the Heritage building on Rogers Road. Duke's location page describes its work as routine care and treatment of childhood illnesses, with parenting support listed too. Returning families schedule through My Duke Health, the system's MyChart portal.

Why we chose them

  • Health-system office: Growing Child is part of Duke Health, separate from the Heritage practice.
  • Counseling and psychological services appear among the listed services on its Duke page.
  • Duke lists weekday visits only, with a midday lunch closure and no weekend appointments.
  • No dated 2026 post from the practice itself turned up, so call to confirm it is taking new patients.

Address: Wake Forest — 11130 Capital Blvd.

HealthPark Pediatrics

In north Raleigh, on Health Park, this independent practice sees children from birth through age 21. Its homepage names six physicians, among them Laura Andrews, MD, MPH, FAAP, and says the group is board certified with more than 125 years of combined experience. Listed services run from newborn care and lactation support to well and sick visits, immunizations, ADHD care and telehealth. New visits book online through Phreesia, linked from the homepage.

Why we chose them

  • Saturday and Sunday visits are for acute sick or injury care only, per its About page.
  • Weekday hours run into the evening, and a nurse triage line covers after-hours calls, per the site.
  • The practice lists Raleigh's Best awards for 2022 through 2025, including Diamond in 2025.
  • The office is in north Raleigh, probably more than 15 minutes from downtown Wake Forest.
  • No dated 2026 post or copyright turned up on its site, so call to confirm insurance and hours first.

Address: Raleigh — 8300 Health Park, Suite 213

JMA Pediatrics

Jeffers, Mann & Artman Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine, known as JMA, runs its Wake Forest office on Rogers Road in the Heritage area. The group lists 35 pediatricians (MD and DO), two physician assistants and eight pediatric nurse practitioners across its offices and says its pediatricians are board certified. Services go past checkups: behavioral health, breastfeeding consultations, telemedicine, a travel medicine clinic and vaccine clinics held in the office or as drive-thru events.

Why we chose them

  • Multi-site group: JMA runs seven Triangle offices, including a second office in Rolesville.
  • Three lactation consultants, each RN, IBCLC, are named on the group's Meet Us page.
  • Its Medicaid page says it is accepting new Medicaid patients ages 0 to 12 on listed plans.
  • The group has served the Raleigh area for nearly 30 years, per its About page.
  • Hours are not posted for the Wake Forest office, so call the front desk before a first visit.

Address: Wake Forest — 3150 Rogers Rd., Suite 102

KidzCare Pediatrics

KidzCare's Wake Forest office sits in the Wake Forest Business Park medical plaza on Durham Road, and Dr. Genevieve Faison-Alston, MD, is the physician listed there. Her KidzCare profile cites a medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, a pediatrics residency at East Carolina University and board certification in pediatrics. The office handles well visits, immunizations and school, sports and camp physicals, and the group adds counseling, behavioral health services and telehealth.

Why we chose them

  • Multi-site group: KidzCare Pediatrics lists 26 locations, mostly in North Carolina, with one in Georgia.
  • The location page says it is accepting new patients ages 0 to 21, with state Medicaid plans.
  • Same-day sick visits are available, according to the Wake Forest location page.
  • A directory listing adds Suite B to the address, but KidzCare's own page gives no suite.
  • No dated 2026 post from the office itself turned up, so call before a first visit.

Address: Wake Forest — 853 Durham Road

Phycinity Healthcare

Adults and children share the schedule at Phycinity's north Raleigh office on Falls of Neuse Road, a family and pediatric practice. Gretchen Inkumsah, DO, appears there under Pediatric Medicine, and family nurse practitioner Mandy Anderson, FNP-BC, is listed for family medicine and pediatrics. Pediatric services on the practice site include physicals, immunizations, sick visits, sports care and visits for ADHD, anxiety and thyroid concerns.

Why we chose them

  • Regional chain: Phycinity has offices in Raleigh, Cameron and Huntersville, NC, and Valdosta, Georgia.
  • Same-day appointments are available in person or by telehealth, per its site.
  • Accepted insurers shown on its site include NC Medicaid, Tricare and ChampVA.
  • The office is in north Raleigh, probably more than 15 minutes from downtown Wake Forest.
  • Its homepage was last updated March 23, 2026, so call to confirm the Raleigh schedule first.

Address: Raleigh — 6801 Falls of Neuse Rd., Suite 104

By its own account the first established pediatric practice in town, this independent office on Wake Drive is run as Wake Forest Pediatric Associates, PLLC. Seven physicians, all MDs, work alongside ten nurse practitioners with CPNP, CPNP-PC and CFNP credentials. Care runs from newborns and well-child visits to immunizations, asthma and ADHD. A second office opened in Knightdale in 2007, and families book online or use the FollowMyHealth patient portal.

WakeMed Pediatric Primary Care – Wake Forest Medical Park

WakeMed's pediatric office at Wake Forest Medical Park on Siena Drive covers newborns through age 18, according to WakeMed's locations sheet. Four providers are listed: Jennifer Willard, MD; Luma Essaid, MD; Alexander Nguyen, DO; and Katherine Quinn, CPNP. Its page lists care for acute illnesses such as flu, colds, sinus infections and sore throats, plus what WakeMed calls "specialty care for mood and behavioral health management."
