Best electricians in Wake Forest

Search for an electrician in Wake Forest and Yellow Pages returns hundreds of listings. Most turn out to be lead-generation pages or one-truck outfits with no website and no license number in sight. Inside town, only Zar Electric on Wall Road and New Light Electrical & Plumbing cleared every check.

So the list widens to Youngsville and to north and northeast Raleigh, where companies such as Electric All Pro keep a page written for Wake Forest customers. Several of the Raleigh picks are service-area businesses with no shop to visit.

Our read: the license number is the fastest test. Three of these eight publish one or have one on record with BBB; the rest say they are licensed without printing a number, so ask for it.

How we chose

We started inside Wake Forest, then widened to Youngsville and north and northeast Raleigh because too few town companies could be checked. Each pick needed a 2026 signal. Facts come from each company's own site first, then BBB; awards count only when named and dated. We cut companies with no 2026 signal, those based too far out (Clayton, Fuquay-Varina, Louisburg), referral services and all national franchises but one, plus one Wake Forest contractor with no website or confirmed phone.

License numbers were not checked on the state board's lookup. The list stops at eight, where verified picks stop. Entries are alphabetical, not ranked; prices were last checked in October 2026. These picks rest on checkable facts, and we have not hired any of them.

Bolton Construction & Service

Founded in 1925 by William E. Bolton Sr., this family company works from Old Louisburg Road near Capital Boulevard in Raleigh, about 20 minutes from downtown Wake Forest. Electrical work sits next to HVAC and plumbing: repair, lighting, inspections, surge protection, service panel upgrades, EV charging stations and whole-house generators with scheduled maintenance. Customers can book online, by phone or by text, and the site advertises 24/7 emergency service. A second branch runs in Asheville.

Why we chose them

  • Fourth-generation owners William E. Bolton III and William E. Bolton IV run it now, per its About page.
  • Its 2026 coupons took $250 off a generator install or a breaker panel replacement until May 1, 2026.
  • The site calls the company licensed, bonded and insured but publishes no license number, so ask for it.
  • Its service area, per the site, includes Wake Forest and Youngsville.
  • The newest dated item is a spring 2026 coupon page, so call or use the request form first.

Address: Raleigh — 1623 Old Louisburg Rd.

Clear Light Electric

Owner Dennis Zaccagnini runs this north Raleigh electrical company off Strickland Road and, per the site, is a licensed electrician himself. The work list covers panel and service changes, sub-panels, breakers, EV chargers and GFCI devices, plus recessed, cabinet and landscape lighting, whole-home wiring and troubleshooting. Estimates are free. Wake Forest comes first on its service-area list, ahead of Raleigh, Durham, Cary and six other towns.

Why we chose them

  • Per its home page, it was the electrical contractor on two 2026 Triangle Parade of Homes winners, Silver and Bronze.
  • The site publishes no license number, so ask for one before booking.
  • An A+ BBB rating appears only in the site's meta description and was not checked on BBB.
  • The Strickland Road suite looks like a mailbox number, so it is listed as serving the area.
  • The only 2026 signals are a page update and award credits, so call or use the contact page first.

Address: Raleigh — serves the area

Electric All Pro

Northeast Raleigh's Electric All Pro keeps a page just for Wake Forest that names Glen Royall, Heritage, Holding Village, South Avenue and the North Main Street area, and notes that permits go through the Town's Inspections Department. Jobs run from panel upgrades and EV chargers to storm-damaged mast and meter repair, hot tub wiring and CSST gas-line bonding. A flat $89 diagnostic usually counts toward the repair, per that page, and installs get free written quotes.

Why we chose them

  • NC Electrical License L.32531 is printed on its Wake Forest page; the board lookup was not run.
  • Owner Hugo Balbuena is named on the site as a master electrician.
  • The page lists $1M per occurrence and $2M aggregate liability insurance.
  • The site says the company has been in business since 2018.
  • Its listed address appears to sit on a residential street, so it is shown as serving the area.

  • The Advantage Plan membership includes an annual safety check and up to 15% off, per the site.
  • No license number appears on its pages, so ask for one before work starts.
  • No dated 2026 post from the location itself turned up, so call first.

New Light Electrical & Plumbing

Electrical and plumbing come from the same Wake Forest company here. New Light installs EV chargers, rewires homes, changes out services and panels, and puts in generators, custom light fixtures, ceiling fans and whole-house surge protection; the plumbing side covers tankless water heaters and drain cleaning. It is based west of town toward Falls Lake and also serves Raleigh, Rolesville, Youngsville, Durham and Cary. The site advertises 24-hour emergency service and online scheduling.

Why we chose them

  • BBB shows Limited-class electrical license L.21167 and plumbing license 29227, citing the state board.
  • BBB rates it A+ and has listed it as accredited since February 9, 2018.
  • The site says its work is "100% Guaranteed for 1 Year."
  • BBB dates the business to August 1, 1998, but the site's own figures say 15 and 45 years.
  • Its rural mailing address may be the owner's property, so it is listed as serving the area.

White's Plumbing & Electrical

A Youngsville plumbing company on Park Avenue with an electrical side, White's lists panel upgrades, circuit breaker replacement, recessed and fixture lighting, LED conversion, GFCI outlets and whole-house surge protectors. Whole-home rewiring takes 3 to 5 days, per its site, and estimates are free. EV chargers and generators are missing from its electrical list. The service area runs to Wake Forest, Raleigh, Louisburg and Durham.

Why we chose them

  • The site cites a 2026 Wake Weekly Best of the Best for Best Plumber; the gallery could not be checked.
  • Only NC Plumbing Contractor License #30233, Class I, is published; no electrical license number appears.
  • An older GuildQuality profile shows a Wheaton Avenue address; the company's own site gives Park Avenue.
  • A separate emergency phone line is listed, though 24-hour service is not stated.

Address: Youngsville — 730 Park Ave.

Whitley Electrical Services

Out of Raleigh, Whitley Electrical Services runs a Wake Forest service-area page with customer reviews dated as late as October 11, 2026, one of them naming a technician called Brandon. Its list covers panel upgrades and breaker panel installation, EV chargers (2 to 4 hours, per its FAQ), light fixtures, wiring and rewiring, whole-home surge protection, smoke detectors, inspections and troubleshooting. Generator installation is mentioned too, without detail.

Why we chose them

  • The site says the company is licensed and insured but publishes no license number.
  • Its service-area page reaches Youngsville, Rolesville, Knightdale and Zebulon, among other towns.
  • No street address is published, so it is listed as a Raleigh business serving the area.
