SEO, Design and Branding in the Age of AI

5:30-7 p.m. · The Loading Dock Beryl, 3915 Beryl Rd.

AMA Triangle, the Triangle chapter of the American Marketing Association, is holding an evening session on how AI is changing search, website design and branding. It runs Tuesday, October 27, 2026, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at The Loading Dock's Beryl Road location in Raleigh, and registration is through Eventbrite.

The speaker is Bill Ross, founder of Emulent Digital Marketing. The organizers describe the evening as "a conversation, not a lecture," and they ask people to bring their biggest question about AI and marketing.

The session covers four topics, according to the event flyer:

  • What generative engine optimization (GEO) is and how it differs from traditional SEO.
  • How a business can get cited and recommended by AI tools.
  • How to use AI for local SEO, from Google Business Profile work to location-focused content and review management.
  • How to use AI tools to plan and design websites that build credibility with visitors right away.

Bill has a background in psychology and 20 years in digital marketing, 13 of them running his own agency, according to the flyer. It lists Nissan, Infiniti, Moen, Budweiser, PwC and HP among the global brands that have looked to him for digital strategy.
