WakeMed Raleigh Campus
About
WakeMed Raleigh Campus is the system’s flagship hospital, on New Bern Avenue in Raleigh. It was founded in 1961 and has been where WakeMed puts its most advanced services and newest technology, with a commitment to care that the system has held to since the beginning.
As a full-service hospital it covers most of what a large medical center does, and it is the anchor of a nonprofit system that employs thousands of people across Wake County. The wages it pays and the goods it buys carry real weight in the county’s economy.
