Wake Tech is North Carolina’s largest community college, with a campus on Fayetteville Road in south Raleigh. More than 74,000 adults take classes there in a given year, which makes it one of the biggest schools of any kind in the state.
The student body includes people starting a first career, people changing one, and people picking up a single certification along the way. It is a large operation, and most of what it offers points toward work available in this region rather than abstract study.
