Wake Forest Center for Active Aging
About
The Center for Active Aging is the Town of Wake Forest’s gathering place for adults 55 and older, on East Holding Avenue. It is a multi-purpose activity center run by the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources department.
The schedule mixes exercise and learning: aerobics and line dancing on one side, classes in computers, ceramics and clay on the other. Social events come around every month, and instructors and staff are qualified for what they teach. Volunteers are part of how the place runs, and the atmosphere is meant to be a friendly one.
