Unlikely Professionals on St. Albans Drive is part shop and part bar, selling menswear and general goods while pouring wine and beer. The idea from the start was a menswear store crossed with a general store crossed with your favorite neighborhood bar.
This North Hills Innovation District location is the second one the company has opened. The mix means you can browse a rack, buy a gift and stay for a drink without changing buildings, and a loyal group of regulars carried the business through the pandemic years.
What to know
- The first store opened in 2019 in the basement of a former bike repair shop.
- That building sits across the street from sister store Edge of Urge.
- Edge of Urge had expanded to Raleigh in 2015, and this concept grew out of it.
