The Slammer Speakeasy

The Slammer is a speakeasy-style cocktail bar in the former Franklinton town jail on West Mason Street downtown. Its own site’s tagline reads “From former jail to local speakeasy,” and the building leans into that history.

The bar pours bourbon and seasonal cocktails in a Prohibition setting, and the bar itself is made from former inmate cells. It makes a good stop for a date night, a drink with friends or an evening out after dinner on Main Street, with room outside when the weather is nice.
