Taste Carolina Gourmet Food Tours

About

Taste Carolina Gourmet Food Tours runs walking food tours through Raleigh, stopping at independently owned restaurants around the city. Each tour visits four or five places, which might include Centro, Sitti, Gravy, Che Empanadas, Longleaf Swine, Bittersweet, or Foundation.

The company started in 2009 in Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill, and it has kept adding cities since. Lesley Stracks-Mullem founded it after planning a two-day dining adventure for a visiting food lover in the fall of 2008. It was an epic itinerary, by her own description, and it turned into a business.
