Sucre & Sel is Florence Melin’s catering company, working across Raleigh and Wake County. She founded it 14 years ago to bring authentic French cuisine to American tables, and the name translates as sugar and salt.
Much of her work happens in clients’ own homes, cooking private dinners for a group of friends or family. Guests have praised her as charming and engaging. One described the evening as a Michelin-starred dining experience without the trip to Paris. She also teaches cooking classes and helps with parties and celebrations.
