Stewart Theatre
About
Stewart Theatre is on the third floor of Talley Student Union at NC State, seating roughly 759 people. University Theatre staff run the room, and it holds Arts NC State performances along with concerts, lectures, step shows, and graduation ceremonies.
The theater is also available to rent, which is how a good many campus and community events end up in the room. Anyone booking it receives an event handbook, technical information, and guidance on catering, parking, and university regulations, so the planning is not left to guesswork.
What to know
- Reservations are accepted up to one year ahead of the event date.
- Confirmations begin April 1 for the academic year running August 1 through July 31.
- Arts NC State, registered student organizations, and campus departments have priority use.
- Other University Theatre venues include Titmus Theatre and the Kennedy McIlwee Studio Theatre.
