Stage Door Dance Productions is a performing arts studio on Lake Boone Trail in Raleigh, with classes for children from age two through eighteen. It is locally owned and operated, and the emphasis falls on a well-rounded experience instead of trophies.
The studio left the competitive dance world on purpose, a decision its founder wrote about in a best-selling book called Trash The Trophies. What remains is dance education meant to encourage kids, which suits families looking for something steadier than a life on the competition circuit.
