ShopSpace

About

ShopSpace is a nonprofit makerspace on Capital Boulevard in Raleigh, built around metalwork and woodworking. It came from people who love those crafts and wanted somewhere to share them, and the programming started with a focus on metal.

Members and students get workshop space, tools, and equipment, along with a culture that takes every level of expertise seriously. Classes cover welding, blacksmithing, knife making, and jewelry, and beginners are as welcome as people who have stood at a forge for years. What is offered will keep changing with the community.
