Shinmai Moku

About

Shinmai Moku is a Japanese yakitori and izakaya restaurant in the newer section of Quail Corners shopping center in north Raleigh, at the corner of Millbrook and Falls of Neuse roads. It opened on September 26, 2026, as the third restaurant from the team behind Shinmai Shokudo and Shinmai Kumo in Cary.

The name comes from the Japanese word moku, meaning wood, and the kitchen grills its skewers over binchotan charcoal. The menu runs from yakitori and sashimi to sushi rolls, fried dishes and hot pots for two or four, with udon, ramen and curry to finish.
