Safe Haven for Cats
About
SAFE Haven for Cats is a no-kill shelter on Garvey Drive in northeast Raleigh, founded in 1994 and dedicated to finding homes for homeless cats and kittens. It also runs a low-cost spay and neuter clinic. Adoption is the goal for every cat that comes through the door.
The numbers are large for a single shelter: more than 17,000 adoptions and over 60,000 sterilizations since it opened. The SAFE Care Clinic started in 2001 to take on pet overpopulation across the ten counties of the Triangle. Community donations keep that work going.
