Raleigh Dance Theatre
About
The Raleigh Dance Theatre is the affiliate performance company of The Raleigh School of Ballet, made up of dancers between twelve and eighteen. It was formed in 1984 as a pre-professional ballet company in the Triangle and works out of the school’s home on Beryl Road.
Performances go up at Jones Auditorium on the Meredith College campus. The repertoire has included Cinderella and Carnival of the Animals, both choreographed by artistic director Megan Marvel, along with the first act of Coppelia, which gives the younger dancers a classical piece to grow into.
