Quintessentials

Quintessentials is a home goods shop on Lassiter Mill Road in Raleigh, stocked for the occasions when people set a proper table. The buying leans toward what the store calls approachable luxury: fine china, glassware, platters, and the pieces that go with them.

Linens take up a good part of the floor, from sheets, towels, coverlets, and duvet covers to tablecloths, napkins, runners, and throws. Smaller things make good gifts, including Herend figurines, picture frames, vases, jewelry, and fragrances, and there are everyday china and entertaining basics in between.
