Poppyseed Market
About
Poppyseed Market is a restaurant and wine bar on Lead Mine Road in North Raleigh. It started more than 20 years ago as a casual deli and grew into a full-service place serving lunch and dinner, with a wine list that grew along with it.
The menu mixes Southern classics with new American cooking, built on fresh local ingredients. Owner and chef Julia McGovern has run it since 2006, and the hospitality side of the job matters to her as much as the food does. That combination is what has kept the room full.
