About
Piccola Italia is a neighborhood Italian restaurant on Woodburn Road in the Village District, and it has been in the same spot since 1982. Frank Amato opened it that April, and the family has run it ever since.
The sauces, soups and pizza dough are still made from scratch to his own recipes. The pizza is New York style, and the rest of the menu is traditional Italian-American, pasta and chicken and seafood, with a wine list to go alongside. It is the kind of menu where a regular already knows what they are ordering.
