Outback Steakhouse – Wake Forest

About

Outback Steakhouse’s Wake Forest restaurant sits on an outparcel at the northeastern edge of Grove 98, the Wegmans-anchored center where Highway 98 meets Ligon Mill Road. It is the Australian-themed chain’s only restaurant in Wake Forest, joining Outback locations on Capital Boulevard and Creedmoor Road in Raleigh, in Cary and in Garner.

The kitchen runs the same menu as the rest of the chain, built around steaks and the Bloomin’ Onion, the fried onion appetizer Outback is known for, with a bar the company describes as serving spirited drinks. The restaurant offers dine-in, online ordering, curbside takeaway and delivery, sells gift cards and has WiFi for guests.

What to know

  • The Wake Forest Business & Industry Partnership announced the restaurant in May 2026 with a target of summer.
  • Parent company Bloomin’ Brands of Tampa, Fla., also owns Bonefish Grill, Carrabba’s and Fleming’s.
  • Outback has operated for 38 years and has about 1,000 restaurants worldwide.
  • The outparcel sits in Grove 98’s northeast quadrant, the same side of the center as O2 Fitness.
