Optimist Club of Raleigh
About
The Optimist Club of Raleigh is a service organization of men and women from professional and business backgrounds, and it has been at this for 76 years. Its fundraising and service projects go toward the benefit, encouragement, and entertainment of young people in the community.
Members meet over a meal at Golden Corral locations in Garner and on Capital Boulevard, with a guest speaker lined up to make the program worth the trip. The mood is food, fun, and fellowship, which is how the club describes it.
