About
Oak City Sound is a four-part a cappella group singing traditional barbershop along with show and movie tunes, doo-wop and pop songs from the 1960s through the 1980s. The singing is unaccompanied, and the harmony is the point.
The group performs regularly at venues around the area, and it is based around Cary. The repertoire stretches across several decades of popular music, so a concert can move from a barbershop standard to something out of the movies.
