Northside Bistro & Cocktails is a restaurant on Spring Forest Road in Raleigh, serving food drawn from all over the world alongside signature craft cocktails. The menu runs from beef Wellington to fresh seafood.
It comes from executive chef John Scarangella and his wife, general manager Carol Scarangella. Chef John spent more than 15 years in well-reviewed fine dining kitchens in New York, then moved to Raleigh in 2008 to take over as executive chef at Saint Jacques French Cuisine. Northside Bistro is the latest venture from the couple.
What to know
- Chef John later joined the Village Grill and helped refine its menu into a North Raleigh staple.
- Burrata is topped with house-made basil and pistachio pesto and served with toasted garlic crostini.
- Roasted grape tomatoes and thinly sliced imported prosciutto come with that burrata plate.
- Crispy duck wings are cured in-house for 24 hours, then confited overnight and flash-fried.
- The bistro salad uses baby organic lettuce from Kalera farms with candied cashews.
