North Carolina’s Electric Cooperatives
About
North Carolina’s Electric Cooperatives is the statewide association serving the state’s 26 member-owned electric co-ops, with offices on Sumner Boulevard in Raleigh. The group is a family of organizations, not a single utility, and its work is driven by service to the communities its members serve.
The association’s lineworkers have taken on international projects, including bringing power to a remote village in northern Guatemala. Closer to home, the cooperatives work toward the sustainable development of their communities through policies their members support. Concern for community is one of the principles they name.
