North Carolina State University Solar House/N.C. Clean Energy Technology Center
About
The NCSU Solar House sits on Gorman Street in Raleigh, next door to the McKimmon Center, and it was built with solar and energy-efficient technologies that were already on the market at the time. It works as a demonstration, a teaching tool and a research site.
The house is run by the NC Clean Energy Technology Center, which has spent more than three decades on clean energy work across North Carolina and beyond. Parking at the site is free, which makes a short visit simple to arrange.
