North Carolina Master Chorale
About
The North Carolina Master Chorale is a semi-professional choir drawing on more than 180 singers from around the Triangle. It has been singing since 1943, when it was founded as the Raleigh Oratorio Society, and it takes mail at a post office box in Raleigh.
The chorale sings a full concert season each year and treats its role as broader than performance alone. It works alongside school music programs and speaks up for music education, which is part of how a group this size keeps finding new singers.
