North Carolina Community Foundation

The North Carolina Community Foundation is a statewide charitable foundation with offices on Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh. It has worked with donors since 1988, turning gifts into grants and scholarships in the communities those donors care about.

Much of the work happens through local affiliates, whose volunteers know their own counties and bring people together to name what is needed there. Staff members live in every region of the state, and the foundation pays particular attention to rural North Carolina, where a modest grant often goes a long way.
