N.C. Museum of History
About
The North Carolina Museum of History sits on East Edenton Street in downtown Raleigh, and it covers more than 14,000 years of the state’s past. Its collections trace how people have lived in North Carolina from the earliest days to the present.
Alongside its artifacts, the museum runs a steady program of events, including History on Tap. Digital exhibits and virtual events carry the collection to people who cannot visit in person, and the building has been undergoing renovations. The event schedule changes through the year.
