Mackenan is a commercial real estate investment firm with offices on North Academy Street in downtown Cary. It started in 2018 as the development arm of a Cary family office, and it works on residential, industrial, and mixed-use projects across the Carolinas.

The team comes from different corners of the business, including brokerage, economic development, engineering, development, asset management, and finance. Between them they have more than 80 years of experience in those fields. That mix is meant to give them a read on a deal from several sides at once.
