Kilian Engineering

Kilian Engineering is a consulting engineering firm, and its Raleigh office is on Woodburn Road. The engineers there spend as much time advising clients as they do drawing plans, which is how the firm chooses to describe its own work.

What it sells is judgment: years of industry experience applied to a building’s systems, turned into a design that is functional, cost efficient, and finished on schedule. Each project gets its own solution, worked out for that particular building and the people using it.

What to know

• The firm grew from a single person into a team with offices across the Mid-Atlantic.
• Its engineers hold licenses in states across the country.
• The team develops solutions for new construction and for buildings already standing.
