Kennedy-McIlwee Studio Theatre
About
The Kennedy-McIlwee Studio Theatre is one of the performance spaces used by University Theatre at NC State, on Dunn Avenue on the university’s campus. It is a studio room, used for productions and for events that other groups book on campus.
University Theatre is the university’s open-access company, which means a student does not have to be a theater major to take part. The studio is one of the rooms where that work happens, and the program pulls students from across the university, whatever they are studying.
What to know
- The space can be rented for concerts, lectures, step shows and ceremonies.
- Students join productions onstage or backstage, at a range of time commitments.
- The theater company has been running since 1964.
