About
Hummingbird is a small New Orleans-inspired scratch kitchen and craft beverage bar in the Dock 1053 warehouse community on East Whitaker Mill Road, about five minutes from downtown Raleigh. Chef Coleen Speaks runs the kitchen and the business behind it, and she moved into the renovated warehouse in 2017.
Speaks built PoshNosh Catering in Raleigh more than twenty years ago and has been a fixture in the city’s food and drink scene since. Community matters to her, and the room is meant to be chic and friendly at once, with everyone welcome.
