Holshouser Building at North Carolina State Fairgrounds
About
The Gov. James E. Holshouser Building is one of the rental halls at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds on Trinity Road in Raleigh. It was put up to serve the fairgrounds and now takes bookings year round. Festivals, small conferences, trade shows, meetings and social events all fit inside it.
The floor covers 13,600 square feet and seats about 1,200 people in conference style. It is a working exhibition hall, so it suits events that want room to spread out. The building is mechanically heated, though it has no air conditioning.
