GC5 Auctions, a Division of GC5 Estate Services
About
GC5 Auctions is the auction arm of GC5 Estate Services, running online estate auctions around Raleigh from a base on Tillery Place. Lots come from real households, so a sale might include furniture, art and decor, kitchen items, china, and some jewelry.
Bidding happens online, and each auction has a set closing night. An email newsletter announces what is coming up next, which is the easiest way to keep track. A recent sale drew on a Knightdale home whose owner had moved and left many things behind.
What to know
- Each lot has its own closing point, specified in advance.
- A bid in the final minute extends that lot by 90 seconds.
- Lots close one after another, about twelve seconds apart, until all are sold.
- The newsletter sign-up sits at the bottom of the auction page.
- One recent consignor had marked many items with her own initials.
