Game Theory
About
Game Theory is a game shop on Duraleigh Road in Raleigh, with a second store in Wake Forest. It calls itself the ultimate place for gamers to meet, shop and play, so playing in the store is part of the point.
Magic: The Gathering is the anchor here. The rest of the inventory covers the popular brands along with games for people with more eccentric tastes. Events fill much of the monthly calendar, which is part of why people turn up even when they are not buying anything.
What to know
- The shop buys and sells Magic singles online and at both stores.
- Its Magic inventory runs to nearly 300,000 cards.
- League play and tournaments are listed on a monthly calendar.
- Weekly game nights are part of that schedule.
