Franklinton Park

About

Franklinton Park is a Franklin County park at the end of Second Street, just off East Mason Street in Franklinton. At about 22 acres, it is the town’s main full-service park.

It is the place in town for a ball game, a playground stop or a family cookout, with room to spread out across the grounds. A learning trail with interactive science stations gives curious kids something to explore between games, and the open field leaves plenty of space for a pickup game or a picnic blanket.

What to know

  • The Innovation STEM Trail includes a sensory station and a butterfly garden.
  • Baseball and softball diamonds sit beside an open play field.
  • Picnic shelters come with tables and grills.
  • A running track, a loop trail and a basketball court are on site.
  • From US 1, follow NC 56 east to Burlington Mill Road, then East Mason Street.
