Divots Grill is the bar and grill at Wendell Country Club on Jake May Drive, and you do not have to be a member to eat there. Golfers coming off the course and neighbors from town end up at the same counter.
Mornings bring biscuits, sandwiches and breakfast platters. The lunch menu adds cold sandwiches and plates and a set of salads, which makes it an easy stop whether you are finishing a round or just passing through Wendell. The food is plain and familiar, and that is the appeal.
