Diaper Train
About
Diaper Train is a nonprofit on Tillery Place in Raleigh and the only diaper bank serving Wake County. It was formerly known as Saint Saviour’s Center, and it works on the belief that no family should have to worry about where the next diaper is coming from.
Diapers are not covered by most assistance programs, which is why this gap exists. The organization frames the work in terms of health: having enough diapers affects a family’s mental and physical well-being, and taking that worry away changes how a household functions.
What to know
- The organization started in 2011 and has run for more than a decade.
- It has distributed 5.8 million diapers since that first year.
- About 8,000 children were served in 2022.
- Around 100 local agencies partner with Diaper Train to get diapers directly to families.
- The long-term goal is ending diaper poverty in Wake County.
