Clemmons Educational State Forest
About
Clemmons Educational State Forest at 2411 Old U.S. 70 West in Clayton opened in 1976 as North Carolina’s first educational state forest.
Three blazed trails run through it, including the Talking Rock Trail with recorded audio exhibits explaining the site’s geology. Educational state forests run a seasonal schedule and the NC Forest Service does not publish opening times for this site, so call ahead.
